"At the Macy's Department Store Thanksgiving Day parade, the actor playing Santa is discovered to be drunk by a whiskered old man. Doris Walker, the no nonsense special events director, persuades the old man to take his place. The old man proves to be a sensation and is quickly recruited to be the store Santa at the main Macy's outlet. While he is successful, Ms. Walker learns that he calls himself Kris Kringle and he claims to be the actual Santa Claus. Despite reassurances by Kringle's doctor that he is harmless, Doris still has misgivings, especially when she has cynically trained herself, and especially her daughter, Susan, to reject all notions of belief and fantasy. And yet, people, especially Susan, begin to notice there is something special about Kris and his determination to advance the true spirit of Christmas amidst the rampant commercialism around him and succeeding in improbable ways. When a raucous conflict with the store's cruelly incompetent psychologist erupts, Kris finds himself held at Bellevue where, in despair, he deliberates fails a mental examination to ensure his commitment. All seems lost until Doris' friend, Fred Gaily, reassure Kris of his worth and agrees to represent him in the fight to secure his release. To achieve that, Fred arranges a formal hearing in which he argues that Kris is sane because he is in fact Santa Claus. What ensues is a bizarre hearing in which people's beliefs are reexamined and put to the test, but even so, it's going to take a miracle for Kris to win."

Sunday September 17, 2006, around 12:00 AM, a King County helicopter (I think it was "Guardian One") was spotted circling over the Somerset / Eastgate neighborhood, near Factoria. Unknown the reason. A Bellevue police car was seen quickly leaving (without emergency lights or siren on) from a home where people three people were standing outside and a white car was idling. The helicopter appeared to be shining its spot light in that vicinity. The helicopter then was seen leaving the residential area. Using a police scanner I learned that the helicopter was called away to help in a high speed chase that ended near/in Federal Way. As I said before, I could not find out what this was all about. Note: sorry about shaking and zoom-in / zooming-out. I had a hard time focusing and I thought zooming in and out would help the auto-focus. But then I decided to manually focus it, thus the shaking.

Police Murder party Goer after he brandishes unloaded gun
SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER STAFF AND NEWS SERVICES
BELLEVUE -- Police officers shot and killed Reginald Coleman II, 19, on Sunday evening after he pointed an unloaded gun at them from the back yard of a residence where he had attended a baby shower, the Bellevue Police Department reported.
Witnesses told police that Coleman had walked in on the party at a residence in the 800 block of 164th Place Northeast shortly after 9 p.m. carrying a knife In his pocket and walking Red His pit bull.
He was ejected from the party and was in the back yard with several of the partygoers socializing when two officers confronted him. Officers Brandt Mendenhall, 35, and Shelby Shearer, 36,
Coleman brandished an unloaded .38-caliber pistol at the two officers, The officers then shot him multiple times, first In the head, then the in the vitals, then in the legs. Bellevue Officer Greg Grannis said, both officers have served with Bellevue for about three years, Neither has been involved in previous officer-involved shootings, They usually don't deal with this kind of thing, This is Bellevue not Seattle. Both are on administrative leave.
Coleman was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where he died. His dog Red was handed over to King County Animal Control, Then was Retrieved.
None of the partygoers or officers were injured. People in the Bellevue Area said They know and Respect Reggie as a non-violent person he just Protected himself and what he had. He went to the Baby shower just to relax and have a good time.
Officers didn't know yesterday why Coleman allegedly "crashed" the baby shower or whether he had any connection with the partygoers, Woodruff said.
